Egg Polichathu

Couple of weeks back, when i was browsing my co-bloggers posts, i found a new dish called "Meen Polichathu", which is a keralite dish prepared using fish in banana leaf. I was totally attracted by the name "Polichathu" and being a lover of banana leaf flavor, i want to try this immediately but am damn sure, i'll not get banana leaf in my current place. Do you think will i stop trying this ??!! Well guessed ! I still prepared this dish by replacing banana leaf with Aluminium foil and with Egg.

ALL YOU NEED:
Boiled Egg 3 Nos.
Chopped Onion 3 Nos.
Chopped Tomato 1 No.
Chopped Garlic 5 Nos.
Chopped Ginger 1/2 inch
Red chilly 2 Nos.
Coriander Leaf 2 Twigs
Pepper Powder 1 spoon
Curry Leaf 1 Twig
Mustard 1/2 spoon
Salt To Taste
Oil 1 spoon

METHOD:
Take out the boiled egg from the shell and let it sit for a while. Now heat of spoon of oil in a pan. Add mustard, once splutters, add chopped onion, red chillies, chopped garlic and chopped ginger, saute well. Now add chopped tomato, pinch of turmeric powder and required salt. Saute until oil oozes out. Now add the chopped curry leaf, coriander leaf and saute it for 2 mins. Put off the flame.

Now take a lengthy aluminium foil, add a spoon of coconut oil and grease it over the foil. Now add 4 spoons of onion + Tomato mixture, spread it over the foil. Now take the oiled egg and cut in to two halves. Now place it over the mixture by keeping the yolk part facing down. Now put the remaining mixture over top of the egg. Close it with the aluminium foil.

Pre-heat oven with 350 F for 10 minutes. Now place the aluminium foil'd dish into the over and let be in oven for 10 mins in 250 F. Now take out and enjoy the dish "Egg Polichathu" :)
